TerraBella Village Celebrates Another Great Year!

TerraBella Village has already proven itself as a well-established and attractive neighborhood in St. Tammany Parish, and the year 2012 demonstrated that TerraBella continues to be poised for strong and steady growth.

TerraBella Village began 2012 with 21 homeowners and wrapped up the year with a total of 34 homeowners. In 2013, the growth looks even brighter still with 16 more homes under construction and another 18 in the design phase.

In the last year, Terra Bella Boulevard gave rise to a new two-story commercial building. We are also excited to announce that six new businesses joined the community, including TerraBella Realty located in the Information Center.

A new entrance sign as well as over 3 dozen additional large shade trees for our walkable neighborhood were part of the improvements added in the community. The trails in the Nature Preserve continue to be maintained on a regular basis, providing the residents with a path to navigate our beautiful 140 acre nature preserve along the Soap and Tallow Creek and Little Tchefuncte River.

During the Holiday Season, TerraBella Village expanded the amount of Christmas decorations significantly. White lights adorned crepe myrtles on the Boulevard, while red bows and green garland decorated light poles, the Village Square and Post Office. Businesses and homeowners were also decked out for the holidays in a spirited competition for the 'Best Christmas Decorations' award.

Our annual family events, 'Pumpkins-in-the-Park' and 'Christmas at TerraBella', continue to grow in numbers and quality each year and are always a favorite for adults and kids of all ages. This past year we added a brand new cultural event, 'TerraBella Art Walk', that showcased a variety of art by nationally and locally renowned artists in TerraBella Village's businesses. The evening's festivities included live music, refreshments, appetizers, and door prizes. It was so much fun and such a success that we plan to host a similar event in 2013.

TerraBella Village is a proud participant in the St. Tammany Parade of Homes each year and 2012 was by far our most successful year to date. We hosted four open houses and more people toured those homes than ever before. For 2012 we set up the TerraBella Village Information Tent in the Village Square during each of the Parade of Home weekends. We provided maps and information, complimentary cold bottled water and gave away door prizes. We plan to do the same this year at the Parade of Homes in May, so be sure to stop by to make the most of your visit.

Hurricane Isaac made landfall on August 29th, wreaking havoc on much of the Parish. However, TerraBella Village came through Hurricane Isaac with huge success and maintained continuous power, television, internet service, and phone service through extreme weather circumstances. Most importantly, there were no flooding issues at TerraBella due to its well-designed, subsurface drainage system and favorable location north of Interstate 12 in Covington. TerraBella's success in weathering Hurricane Isaac can be attributed to its unique location, underground utilities, and private fiber-optic network.

We are grateful for a very successful 2012 and look forward to continued growth and progress in the coming year!

TerraBella Village Unscathed by Hurricane Isaac

Nothing tests the mettle of a neighborhood’s infrastructure and overall integrity like a Hurricane. TerraBella Village came through Hurricane Isaac with huge success and maintained continuous power, television, internet service, and phone service through extreme weather circumstances. Most importantly, there were no flooding issues at TerraBella due to its well-designed, subsurface drainage system and favorable location north of Interstate 12 in Covington.

TerraBella’s success in weathering Hurricane Isaac can be attributed to its unique location, underground utilities, and private fiber-optic network. TerraBella Village is equipped with a carrier-grade, fiber-optic network that is analogous to mission-critical environments like military bases, hospitals, and universities. Through this network, a bulk telecommunications package, including television, internet, and optional telephone, is provided to residents and commercial tenants.

For more information on our Fiber-to-the-Home network, lot availability and homes for sale, please go to our website at www.terrabellavillage.com or call our Information Center at 985.871.7171.

2012 Parade of Homes an Award-Winning Success

The 2012 St. Tammany Home Builders Association’s Parade of Homes event was a huge success for TerraBella Village and lots of fun! TerraBella showcased four homes in the Parade of Homes by four different builders. Visitors turned out in record numbers for the three weekend event, according to Ron Lee Homes who reported that 1939 visitors toured their parade home. Builders Ron Lee Homes and Conbeth Development declared it was by far the most visitors they had seen at a Parade of Homes event in the 20-plus years each of them had been participating.

TerraBella Village’s Sales & Marketing Director, Jeff Sonnenberg, was on hand in the Village Square to provide visitors with maps and information about the neighborhood, while TerraBella business GMFS Lending provided free ice cold water to hot and thirsty visitors. Those touring the parade townhome built by Martin & Malkemus were treated to shrimp expertly grilled by Mark Malkemus in the townhome’s spacious courtyard, perfect for entertaining.

During the second weekend of the Parade of Homes, TerraBella held its first ever ‘TerraBella Art Walk’ sponsored by Tripolo Gallery. The Art Walk brought out residents, business owners and plenty of visitors to the TerraBella Village community. A great time was had by everyone as we celebrated the evening with fantastic art, libations, good company, great food and live music. It was so much fun, that we’ve decided to do it again next year!

We are very excited to announce that two of our builders received awards from the St. Tammany Home Builders Association for their parade homes in TerraBella Village: Ron Lee Homes won 2012 Best Floor Plan and 2012 Realtors’ Choice award for their parade home on Bocage Court and Highland Homes was awarded 2012 Best Curb Appeal for their parade home on Chretien Point Ave. Congratulations to Ron Lee Homes and Highland Homes! We are very pleased and honored to have them as members of the TerraBella Builders Guild, as we are all our guild members.

We are also excited to announce that one of our builders, Highland Homes, sold their parade home the first week of the event. Congratulations!

We look forward to next year’s Parade of Homes and hope to see you there!
